In this unit, students will learn how to use scatter graphs in data handling. They will begin by learning how to draw a scatter graph, and then to interpret the points on a scatter graph and the overall trend of the graph, including understanding this trend in the context of the problem. Students will then draw lines of best fit and use these to predict extra values, using both interpolation and extrapolation and understanding the reliability of each. The unit finishes by looking at correlation, and its links to causality.
