Multiplication Methods – Complete Lesson

This is a complete lesson on multiplication methods, reinforcing times table knowledge, looking at the effect of multiplying and dividing by powers of ten and running through three different multiplication methods – long multiplication, the grid method and Napier’s bones. The lesson is designed with the new GCSE specification in mind.

  • To be able to multiply and divide numbers by any power of 10.
  • To be able to multiply by all positive integers.
