In this unit students will extend their skills with Pythagoras’ theorem and trigonometry. They should already be familiar with finding unknown sides and angles of right-angled triangles but will now learn to find areas, sides and angles of any triangle using the trigonometry formula for area, the sine rule and the cosine rule. They will also extend their applications of Pythagoras and trigonometry to problems in 3 dimensions.
