In this unit, students will learn about using and manipulating fractions. They will begin by calculating equivalent fractions and using common denominators to compare and order fractions. They will then convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions, learn methods for adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions and finish the unit by converting between fractions and decimals (including recurring decimals).
